Computer viruses are not always evil. Japanese technology company Fujitsu has a new stance facing cyber attacks, namely by creating computer viruses that can identify and crippling attacks. This project is part of Fujitsu's initiative to help the Japanese government's efforts to combat Internet-based attack which has been running for three years. The Japanese government even deliberately allocated funds amounting to USD 2.3 million for the 'war' against cyber attacks.

This virus will monitor and analyze, before identifying the source of the attack. Furthermore, it will shut down to prevent access to attack the problem further. The only major obstacle Fujitsu team running the project is the current Japanese law that prohibits the manufacture of computer viruses. Rather, Fujitsu could mollify the government considering this project worked out for the interests of national security.

Japan is known as one of the countries that were soft targets for cyber attacks throughout 2011. Computer number of Japanese lawmakers reportedly hacked.

Viruses are being made Fujitsu still being developed. Until now, the virus that has not been given the name has been tested in limited environments.
