In this latest version, Microsoft Security Essentials introduces a deeper connection to the Internet Explorer and the default firewall in Vista and Windows 7. Security Essentials has begun to mature, although there is still to be fixed.
Another advantage of the MSE is the software is supported directly by Microsoft as the manufacturer. This makes updates and compatibility with the system becomes more secure. In terms of installation, it only takes a little effort you can run for MSE. Microsoft is polite not force you to join in the customer experience program that can retrieve your personal data. You are given a choice whether to run the Windows Defender firewall, and whether to run a scan after the installation.
The new MSE interface is now adopting a different color scheme than the previous version, which now wears many shades of gray to replace the blue and white. For those unfamiliar with this design, the MSE has four tabs at the top. Home tab contains the security status and scan options, and you can run a Quick Scan, Full Scan or Custom Scan. A link at the bottom of the panel lets you change the scan schedule.
Conclusion: Security Essentials is basically a (set-it-and-forget-it security program), but if you want more options and better results than the security options, Panda Cloud Antivirus Free Edition you can try.
